Folks have mentioned how we repeat ourselves a few times about the hazards of strong magnets in the Homebrew Wind Power book. Here’s why!
While the magnets that caused this serious injury are larger than those in our wind turbine plans, they are approaching the size of those used in our 17 foot turbine design. AND, 2 magnet rotors for our 10-foot turbine have more magnetic material than the magnets that so seriously injured this fellow. They are at LEAST as dangerous as what he was using. Also note that his magnets jumped together from 20 inches apart…….

Let’s all be careful out there, folks.
